On Jan. 8 the Newseum will host a special news panel discussion on the state of financial literacy education today, following a news conference at which major consumer groups and child advocacy experts will announce their endorsement of FoolProof, a new consumer life skills resource for teachers. The groups and experts will endorse curriculums for both middle and high school students developed by the FoolProof Foundation’s Walter Cronkite Project. The curriculums were created as a free alternative to the financial literacy resources funded by business interests.
