Join us for a panel discussion, sponsored by the Freedom Forum Institute and Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office, outlining Taiwan's achievements in promoting and defending press freedom and free speech within a democratic society over the past several decades.

Antonio Chiang, longtime journalist and vice president of Taiwan's General Association of Chinese Culture, and Bill Gertz, senior editor of the Washington Free Beacon, will be joined by Shannon Tiezzi, editor-in-chief at The Diplomat, an online magazine and a representative of Reporters Without Borders, for a panel discussion led by Gene Policinski, president and chief operating officer of the Freedom Forum Institute. These experts, scholars and journalists will discuss the current situation in Taiwan and compare it with China, other nations in the region and worldwide.
